WEEB VAN GOGH

Dear Weeb,

You went to a birthday party today that was held at an art studio.  The instructor attempted to teach a bunch of 4 - 7 year olds how to paint in the style of Vincent van Gogh.  She used one of his sunflower paintings as a template and you all drew on canvas a vase, the line of the table and the flowers.  You were told that you could use any colors, though Vincent van Gogh had a preference for yellow.  You were also told that you could draw / paint whatever type of flower you'd like.

The first shot here is one of Vincent van Gogh's sunflower paintings.  The second image is your painting.  This was the first time you painted with oil paints.  I don't know much about art, but I know what I like!  And you sure had fun doing it!

SPACE WEEB

Dear Weeb,

You started talking tonight about asteroids. You informed me that you would like a book about science and we could get them at the Library, you know. Yeah. I know. Did YOU know that YOU have a library in your bedroom? You have a million books there, including several books about planets and other universey kinds of things. You were quite overjoyed upon learning this, though it's something I've been trying to get you interested in for some time. You are currently blissed out with books about space. Enjoy!

A SUNNY SKY AND A MICHAEL JACKSON PIN

Dear Weeb,

My photography theme this week is clouds, but, as you can see, there wasn't a cloud in the sky today.

You are wearing a Michael Jackson BAD pin.  You became a Michael Jackson fan this past Spring Break, when the friends you were staying with while I was at work, introduced you to The Michael Jackson Experience video game.

A couple of weeks ago, we were in the food court at the mall and you found this pin on the counter.  You asked if you could take it home as the owners were nowhere to be found.  I said just leave it.  You complained.  I said fine, take it.  You were happy for a moment, until we were at the car when you decided you didn't want to be a 'stealer'.  Daddy and I assured you that it was a pin worth about a dollar and nobody seemed to be missing it, and it wasn't a big deal.  Proof that it doesn't matter what I say, you argue with me about it.  Proof that the Universe has a sense of humor, since I was only slightly older than you when BAD came out and aside from that album, I've never been a huge fan.

Ah well, you like what you like, I suppose.  I just thought I'd be rolling your eyes about you liking today's music, not Michael Jackson.  Enjoy your pin, baby.
