It was Freezie Day at school today. After class was out, you lined up with dozens of other students and waited your turn to pay 50 cents to get a freezie. By the time it was your turn, they only had purple and red left. Score! You love red! Your school has a wonderful PAC who arrange this kind of thing more to give the students something to look forward to than to raise money.

A CONVERSATION WITH WEEB
Dear Weeb,
Weeb: I've seen one of your baby teeth.
Mummy: I don't think so. I showed you my wisdom teeth.
Weeb: No, I seen one of your BABY teeth. You swallowed it and it bonked me on the head.
Mummy: Er... what?
Weeb: When I wasn't born yet!
Kid, you make me laugh! I'm pretty sure you were pulling my leg, but I still thought it was funny.
That was yesterday.
Today we were blowing bubbles and you were talking to me about Cupid. You've been watching Hercules the animated TV show and I guess Cupid is a character you've seen a few times and you quite dig him. I explained that Cupid isn't real, he's just a character in old Roman Mythology (in Greek Mythology, he's named Eros). You wanted to know well if Cupid isn't real, what about the Easter Bunny and Santa.
You got me, kid. I guess Cupid might be real.

PHOTO SHOOT APRIL 2012
Dear Weeb,
I thought you might like to see some other shots from our Easter backyard photo shoot. You were complaining SO much while I was trying to set my camera set that I didn't think we'd ever get a single good shot. As it turns out we got seven, or more, really cool shots! You're growing up way too fast. And you're quite the awesome little poser. Next time I won't get so annoyed that you aren't taking direction - you seem to know what you're doing!

EASTER 2012
Dear Weeb,
During a 'photo shoot' to try and get some Spring / Easter pictures of you, you pulled out this pose. I'm not sure if you're channeling Marilyn Monroe but this cracked me right up. Well, not at the time, but after the 15 minutes we spent outside trying to get one good shot, I think this is fabulous!

GOOD FRIDAY 2012
Dear Weeb,
We've always colored Easter Eggs on Good Friday, and this year was no different.
What was different was the way we colored them. We didn't do the little dye tablets this time. The dye came in packets that you squeezed into a bag (well I did it, much to the constant arguments about how you are too old enough to do it) and then you sort of rubbed the dye all over the egg. Majestic Eggs, they're called. Do they look majestic? I wasn't that impressed at first, but after an hour or two, the color looked quite good and they had a metallic glint to them. Happy Good Friday!

AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME WEEBS
Dear Weeb,
One of the things we like to do together is watch America's Funniest Home Videos. They're not always funny and we're not American, but we like to watch the animal videos. Your sister D used to watch the same show with me when she was about your age, too.
After the show was over, you went into devious detail about how we were going to get on the show. I couldn't follow your plan, exactly, but it had something to do with me asking you questions about cats and dogs. And then you laughed maniacally and moved on to another subject. You're a fun kid.
Below is a shot of you and Cousin J playing soccer, last weekend. You were playing with a nice young boy who was kind enough to share his ball with two girls who had no idea what they were doing. You sure had fun. I've been instructed to PLEASE buy you a soccer ball now, but you don't want to join a soccer club because you don't like rules, you just like to have fun. That's my girl. LOL

TO MY WONDERFUL DAUGHTER
To my beautiful girl,
Seven years ago today, I found out that I was pregnant with you. It was one of the most terrifying, most wonderful days of my entire life. You changed my world. You made me a better person. I cannot put into words how much I love you and how much you have made the world a better place. I love you.
And thank you for being my constant (though not always willing) photography subject.
